Most GCSE subjects now include Controlled Assessment tasks which must be carried out under exam conditions. A timetable showing when controlled assessments will take place is available here and also in the Important Infromation section on the right.

The European Language Olympics is a European competition for schools and the aim is for pupils to complete online activities, learn vocabulary and gain points for the school.  The Language Olympics team are offering prizes to individuals and schools.

Pupils can learn not only French and German but also Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Japanese, Latin and even Maori or Indonesian!

All pupils should have a login from their language teacher.  Any pupils or Sixth Formers who not registered and who would like to take part,  please see Mrs Fisher in Room 31!

Despite competition from as far afield as Beijing and New Zealand, Egglescliffe School is currently holding the number 10 spot. The competition runs until Thursday 14th October so get cracking and lets push for the win!
