The Scholar Award is an enrichment opportunity that is open to all the most and more able students at Egglescliffe. It is a project that has been created in conjunction with Teesside University. Students partake in a range of opportunities that stretch their: Add academic depth Cultural capital Aspirations and Leadership Extend their Abstract Thinking Students complete a journal of their achievements that lead to an award at 4 different levels. They all have a personal coach who supports their evaluation and collaboration with other Scholars on the Programme. To be a scholar you have to have a number of attributes. To be patient and resilient. You need to be organised and passionate to achieve points and rewards. In 2019 I want to run for the county (my third year doing so). I also want to attend more motivational and career lectures that will inspire me. Last year I visited Cambridge University as I achieved my bronze, it was an amazing experience. I am hoping to gain my silver award. Being a scholar has enhanced my life and you have to take any opportunities offered with open arms. It is about being self motivated. I want future employers to see the extra mile I have gone to achieve my awards.
