We are committed to ensuring that all pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) make meaningful progress in line with their individual learning profiles and the outcomes outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), where applicable.

Progress is monitored regularly through a structured and collaborative approach that includes:

  • Termly Reviews of Support Plans Individual support plans are reviewed each term to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and strategies. Adjustments are made based on pupil progress, staff feedback, and any emerging needs.
  • Pupil Progress Meetings Teachers, the SENDCo, and relevant support staff meet regularly to discuss the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils with SEND. These meetings help identify pupils who may require additional support or changes to existing provision.
  • Annual Reviews for Pupils with EHCPs In accordance with statutory guidance, pupils with EHCPs receive a formal annual review. This process involves parents/carers, school staff, and external professionals where appropriate, and focuses on evaluating progress against EHCP outcomes, updating targets, and planning for future provision.
  • Ongoing Communication with Parents/Carers We maintain open and proactive communication with families to ensure they are informed and involved in their child’s progress. This may include informal updates, scheduled meetings, written reports, and opportunities to contribute to review processes.

This cycle of monitoring and review is central to our graduated approach and ensures that provision remains responsive, effective, and aligned with each pupil’s evolving needs.
