Where are you now?
I am currently in my first year of studying music at Newcastle University.
Favourite memory:
My favourite memory would have to be taking part in Egglescliffe School’s leavers concert at Middlesbrough Town Hall in my final year. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my 2 years at the sixth form and reflect on the many happy moments I’d had at the sixth form and the many friends I had made.
Support you received:
Teachers at Egglescliffe support you beyond academics, they will endeavour to enhance your skills and personal qualities by providing opportunities like enrichment, encouraging you to organise events for charity, and supporting your hobbies. Personally, myself and my peers benefited a lot from tutorial sessions on how to look after your physical and mental well-being during exams.
Why should people go to Egglescliffe?
One of the beauties of Egglescliffe is that they care about your results, but not just about your results. To the staff at Egglescliffe, you are more than just a target grade. The staff lead by example and encourage us to become honest, respectable and hard working individuals.
Where do you hope to be in 5 years?
I hope to have completed both my undergraduate degree in music and hopefully, a PGCE in either education. Returning to Egglescliffe as a member of staff one day is definitely something I’m aiming for!
